How do I adopt a dog or cat?
Browse available pets on Petfinder, then complete our adoption and foster application under Apply on this website. Our team will review your submission and contact you about next steps.
What is the adoption fee?
Adoption fees vary by pet and help cover spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and other veterinary care.
Do you adopt out of state?
We may consider out-of-state adopters who can travel to the Greater Cincinnati area to meet and pick up their pet. We do not arrange transport.
Can I foster if I'm not sure about adopting?
Yes. Fostering is a wonderful way to help without a long-term commitment. Apply through our foster/adoption application and note that you're interested in fostering.
How can I volunteer?
Join our Facebook group for the latest needs, or send us a message through the contact form. We welcome fosters, event helpers, and transport volunteers.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Ohio Hound Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Consult your tax advisor regarding deductibility of your gift.
