The 4-Step Journey Home

Our streamlined process helps every rescue find the right match for a lifetime of happiness.

    Apply

    Complete our adoption application online. Tell us about your home, experience, and what you're looking for in a companion.

  2. Step 2

    Review

    Our team reviews your application and may reach out with follow-up questions. We want to make sure each match is a great fit.

  3. Step 3

    Meet

    Meet your potential companion by appointment at their foster home in the Greater Cincinnati area.

  4. Step 4

    Adopt

    Once approved, complete adoption paperwork and welcome your pet home. Adoption fees help cover veterinary care for animals still in rescue.

Adoption Requirements

To ensure our animals are placed in safe, loving environments, we maintain the following standards for all adopters:

  • Age requirement

    Primary applicant must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Current pets

    All household pets must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

  • Renters

    Written landlord approval required.

  • Home check

    We may conduct a virtual or in-person home safety check.

  • Pickup

    We do not ship animals. Adopters travel to the Greater Cincinnati area.

Adoption Fees

Fees vary by pet and help cover spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and other veterinary care.

Foster care

Fostering is the heart of our rescue. We pull dogs and cats from high-risk shelter situations and place them in home environments while they receive veterinary care and prepare for adoption. Growing our foster network is how we save more lives. We coordinate medical needs with our veterinary partners; you provide daily care, structure, and love.
